As the coronavirus lockdown takes full effect, churches are scurrying to take their services online. For most, all that is possible at short notice is to record a version of the service (or perhaps only the sermon), and broadcast it online in place of the Sunday meeting. The lessons we learned when educators started to take teaching-and-learning online suggest that this model will not be effective as a long-term strategy.
