Dr. Chris Wright in Johannesburg

We invite all our students to join Dr Chris Wright on Saturday 1st June at a one-day seminar teaching on Preaching from the Old Testament. Dr Wright is currently the head of Langham Partnership International, successor to the great John Stott. Also a former Principal of All Nations Christian College, he is an acclaimed Old Testament scholar and has published many significant books. Chris has become one of the most respected Christian thinkers and leaders in the world and loves preaching and teaching the Bible, which he now does mostly through the Langham Preaching seminars in different parts of the world.

Most significantly Dr Wright served as Chair of the Lausanne Theology Working Group from 2005 – 2011 and of the working group that formulated the Cape Town Commitment (at the Third Lausanne Congress) – the most important evangelical statement of mission and theology to be drawn up to guide the church in recent times.

Chris has written numerous books, including User’s Guide to the Bible (Lion 1983), Walking in the Ways of the Lord (IVP 1995), Knowing Jesus through the Old Testament (IVP 2007), The Mission of God: Unlocking the Bible’s Grand Narrative (IVP, 2006), and The Mission of God’s People: A Biblial theology of the Church’s Mission (Zondervan 2010).

We invite our students, their pastors, church leaders and Christians who want to be exposed to in-depth teaching on the Old Testament, not to miss this opportunity.

We believe this seminar to be of particular benefit to our students.
