Born in a Christian home, Alex had a personal experience of accepting Jesus as his saviour at the age of 8.
At 18 he started his motor racing career with a car which he had built. He became Brazilian champion and number 1 in ranking of the Brazilian drivers in 1973. Then he moved to England to race in Formula 3 and 2 before his graduation to Formula 1 In 1977.
Alex got involved with many Christian professional sportsmen, and after retirement from racing became a full time missionary working as executive director for Atletas de Cristo in Brazil during 22 years.

  • He received leadership training at the Haggai Institute in Singapore .
  • Became a member of the International Sports Coalition.
  • Helped to promote the Power for Living project in Brazil .
  • Worked as a Chaplain at the Olympic Games of Seoul 88, Athens 04 and China 2008.
  • Organized Brazilian all star football games with Christian players giving their testimony to the whole country by television.

John White is an exciting and well-known international speaker with many years experience in the sports ministry field. John has a PhD majoring in Ethics and Theology and is the assistant professor in the Theology and Philosophy Faculty at Cedarville University, USA.
He has lectured and presented the topic of Christian Ethics in sport world-wide and has been involved in the writing and editing of several books on this topic.

He has been involved in sports for many years and was the Pro-Am/National Cyclist in the USA and Europe from 1989-1992. He has been the developmental coach and instructor at Olympic Training Centre, Colorado Springs and was director of AIA and Christian minister at Kent State and The University of Akron.
John has been involved in research and teaching, as well as lecturing in Princeton, and Belarus Olympic Training Centre, USA. Recently he was part of a collaborative project with the Pontifical Council for the Laity at the Vatican.


Maged Fawzey has been part of the Ministry Kids Games since 2000. It’s a summer programme taking place every two years just like the Olympics,  targeting Kids from 6 to 14 years old. In the first year 55.000 kids from all over Egypt and Middle East participated and last year 65.000 kids attended the games. These games are a value based curriculum held for Christians and non-Christians targeting kids from 10 to 16 years old.

Teen Games is an outreach programme to present God as saviour to teenagers in orphanages, streets teens, poor and garbage area teenagers. The ministry started in 2001 with 170 youth and in 2007, 5000 teenagers participated. They are hoping to reach 5,000 youth again this year, please pray for them.

Edge Games is an evangelism event that targets Christian college students and graduates aged from 18 to 27 years old. The camp began in 2006 with 125 youth and has grown to two camps per year with 250 youth


David has been involved in full time football mission globally for over 15 years. David lives in Manchester, UK where he is the Chief Executive of Ambassadors in Sport; an international Christian mission that brings hope through football by empowering local churches to engage effectively with the soccer culture and community. David is passionate about football (even though his semi-pro playing days are finished) and teaching the Bible relevantly to sportspeople all over the world. David is a church leader with a Masters in theology and currently serves on the “Supporting the People of Sport’ global council of the International Sports Coalition. David is married to Kerry and they have 2 young boys called Ryan and Lewis


Moss Ntlha is the General Secretary of the Evangelical Alliance of South Africa, and is involved in numerous ecumenical initiatives in facilitating the witness of evangelical churches.

He has vast experience in: facilitating advocacy and church based partnership in response to social challenges. Moss holds degrees in Natural Sciences and Theology. He is also a pastor of a local church.


Tim is director of Ambassadors in Sport Africa. Currently serving as the Programmes and Projects convener for The Ultimate Goal and on the board of SASCOL. He completed his theological studies through SATS and is currently completing a Masters degree the subject of which is Sports Ministry.

He is also developing the Sports Ministry courses for SATS.

Tim is married and has three children.
